BCU School Kitchen Garden Project

The Bina Cita Utama (BCU) School Kitchen Garden project is a community partnership on the ground in Central Kalimantan. The aim of the project is to educate the next generation on the need to sustainably manage land and grow food in an educative outdoor classroom.

Using an integrated approach and permaculture techniques, the site is converting the existing unused land behind the school and green corridor alongside the river – to create a productive system which will include a chicken coop, food forest, nursery, aquaponics, grey water system and forest library amongst the existing forest canopy.
