Permakultur Kalimantan Foundation (YPK) has been established to make accessible permaculture education and training to communities in Central Kalimantan to improve land management, increase community resilience, increase food security, support sustainable livelihoods and culture and help to conserve the natural environment in the region.

Our team have been doing non profit permaculture work for the past 4 years in Australia and India as documented in our website Surya Eco Enterprise and we have now created YPK to continue this important work in our homeland of Kalimantan (Borneo) Indonesia. Our mixed Indonesian/Australian team initiated this journey after pursuing permaculture education and training in Australia and now we are a community working together to develop this project here in Central Kalimantan- one of the last remaining lungs of the earth.

We are currently establishing our first permaculture demonstration site in the village of Sukamulya, Central Kalimantan. Permies worldwide are welcome to come and visit us and lend a hand in the heart of Kalimantan/Borneo. For weekly updates visit and like us on our facebook page:
